Memorial Day of Remembrance at Evergreen Cemetery

Honor local veterans at the MAH's re-imagined community celebration at Evergreen Cemetery.

For decades, on the last Monday in May, Santa Cruzans join friends, neighbors, and local veterans at Evergreen Cemetery to commemorate Memorial Day. This observance usually features speakers, musical tributes, a rifle salute, and traditional flag folding. It is a special moment where our community can come together to honor and mourn the military personnel who gave their lives in service of our Country.

This year, we're pleased to be able to offer an in-person gathering once again. Stroll through the Cemetery between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm in a self-guided walkthrough to learn more about the veterans buried at Evergreen and our local veteran community. We'll have music, community guests, and historical highlights, just follow the signs for a relaxing walk through Evergreen's lush hillside.

We hope you can join this collective day of mourning as we honor local veterans by connecting with their stories and loved ones.
