In These Uncertain Times
Creativity, Community, and Compassion During a Global Pandemic
Let's bring some joy to our local seniors and caregivers as we all remained sheltered in place. Join your friends, MAH staff, and neighbors in a community Zoom call as we craft heartfelt, colorful messages to be digitally sent to folks across the County.
Use what you have at home. Get creative. And share some smiles. We'll be collecting images of your work to then be sent to seniors all across the County.
Can't make the Zoom call? No problem. Send a picture or video of you and your card to jeff@santacruzmah.org by May 15th and we will distribute them.
Some cards will be emailed, some will be printed out and hand-delivered COVID-free along with bags of food through Meals on Wheels and other agencies. Join the Zoom call to learn more about the delivery process.
This event is related to our exhibition We’re Still Here, as it prepares for its expansion to San Francisco and Marin Counties.
"Long after the last loaf of sourdough bread is baked and the last quarantini is downed, there will be an archive of memories of life under quarantine in the form of online zines documenting the experiences of everyday people." - Allyson McCabe, NPR
