Hear from local historians and radical faeries in this new webinar series celebrating the recently launched virtual exhibition, Queer Santa Cruz.

The Radical Faerie movement began in the summer of 1979. It was not long before radical faeries emerged across Santa Cruz County in the 1990s. Hear radical faeries from Santa Cruz County share about their beginnings in the county, how they were instrumental in furthering many queer causes, and their involvement in the Western U.S.

Webinar Series Info

In April the MAH was supposed to open a Santa Cruz Queer History Exhibit created in partnership with the Diversity Center. However, due to the shelter in place orders, the MAH will unveil the exhibit online first. To help you “view” the different parts of the exhibit, learn more about our queer history and keep the MAH & Diversity Center working together while working from home the two organizations are initiating a series of webinars about the different stories related to Santa Cruz Queer History.

Stay tuned for more webinars, behind the scene tours, and the virtual exhibit coming soon.
