Together with the Watsonville Film Festival, UC Santa Cruz, the Santa Cruz Art League, and Pajaro Valley Arts, we present the “MURALS / ART / ACTIVISM” event series.

Beginning Tuesday, June 15 - Friday, June 18, stream the following two documentaries at watsonvillefilmfest.org.

Click over to watsonvillefilmfest.org to watch the World Premiere of PAINTER OF DREAMS, directed by Gabriel Jesse Medina and Marcus Cisneros. A short documentary about artist Guillermo “Yermo” Aranda and his effort to repaint his iconic Dreams mural at Watsonville High School.

Then, tune into the Monterey Bay Premiere of ALICE STREET, directed by Spencer Wilkinson (67 min). In the quickly gentrifying city of Oakland, a mural unifies Black and Chinese American artists and communities to protect their history, voices, and spaces.
