Robynn Smith’s new work combines her interest and training in both sculpture and painting. She builds the surface and gouges it away as she works to find the beauty in true thought and action. The surface of her artwork then becomes a geographical, archaeological site with covered and uncovered layers of meaning and intention, memory and discovery and specific site and interior mind.
