Join fellow MAH members at the Capitola Beach Festival’s Lighted Nautical Parade to view a new installation by Monica Canilao and Xara Thustra (MCXT) that reimagines the local Venetian Water Carnivals, a Victorian-era spectacle on the San Lorenzo River.
Part of CommonGround, the MAH's new biennial festival of place-inspired, outdoor work hosted in locations throughout Santa Cruz County from Sep 16-25, 2022.

Santa Cruz Venetian Water Carnivals, a Victorian-era spectacle that took place on the San

Join us as we spend time experiencing TRANSBORDER at the Downtown Santa Cruz Farmer’s Market, then head over to Abbott Square for drinks with artist Raniel Ruanova.

Farmers’ Markets

A mobile installation featuring large-scale reproductions of 1950s-era photographs of Braceros, Mexican farm and railroad workers imported to the U.S. during World War II. The project gives new light to the images of citizens on their journey to the land of opportunity.
