Día de los Muertos Bilingual Cooking Demonstration
Saturday, October 26, 2024,
12pm - 5pm
FREE
As the MAH welcomes its annual celebration of Día de los Muertos, we seek to expand our programming and invite community partners to collaborate and create diverse programming. This October, we are thrilled to have América García from Davenport Resource and Service Center. América will facilitate a cooking demonstration in Spanish and will have a translator.
América will be showing us how to make sugar skull cookies from 12 - 1 pm and Pan de Muerto, which is Day of the Dead bread, from 4 -5 pm. Food is one of the many ways that the dead are welcomed back to our world and honored. Learn how to make both of these delicious treats and hear some stories from the chef.
No supplies are needed and you can learn more about América below
