Opening to the public, Friday, May 14th, Conexiones highlights the artwork from The Museum of Latin American Art’s internationally renowned collection through the stories, sounds, and words of Latinx collaborators from across Santa Cruz County.
This event will feature an introduction to the exhibition and a virtual walkthrough with community curators and MAH staff. We’ll also hear from MOLAA’s Chief Curator Gabriela Urtiaga in a short video as she talks about the history of the MOLAA collection.
5:55pm: Grab your drinks and dinner as the Zoom room opens.
6:00pm: Turn up your volume as the event begins with an introduction to the exhibition by MAH staff.
6:10pm: Local collaborators share why they select this work out of the MOLAA archive.
6:30pm: Learn about MOLAA’s collection with a video from Chief Curator at MOLAA, Gabriela Urtiaga.
6:45pm: Ask away in a Q&A w/ MAH staff.
