Yfam

Yoga For All Movement is a collective of yoga teachers providing the practices of asana and meditation to underserved populations in Santa Cruz county. The mission of the movement is to make yoga accessible to all including those who are currently incarcerated, in recovery from substance use disorders, survivors of domestic violence and youth. Our intention is to bridge the gap between all facets of the Santa Cruz community. Through trauma informed instruction, we aim to reduce recidivism and reverse the effects of institutionalization by aiding in the process of mitigating symptoms of direct and vicarious trauma. For anyone who has been affected by institutionalization in some way, learning the importance of the connection of mind, body, and breath can aid in the reentry process and help survivors of that trauma to THRIVE.
